The Cuban embassy in Ecuador was the place chosen to hold a conference to collect messages of gratitude to Cuba. It condemns the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba as well as on expressions of support for its sovereign decisions.

Representatives of social organizations and of the solidarity movement with Cuba availed themselves of this opportunity to ratify Latin American and global unity to Cuba.

“Ecuador keeps a historical brotherhood with the Cuban people since the times of General Eloy Alfaro and the Cuban Hero José Martí,” the President of the Coordinator for Peace, Sovereignty, Integration and Non-interference Yumac Ortíz said.

In Yumac´s opinion regarding human and peoples’ rights, “the global north aspiring to make us feel defeated is wrong, because we have Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Bolivia and other nations that seek freedom and better roads for Latin America and the world”.
