People who practiced sports activities and took physical exercises during Covid-19 lockdown had fewer anxiety and depression issues, the Preventive Medicine journal reported.
Both conditions show as companies shut down, workers lose their jobs and consequently the household economy suffers.
In addition, researchers warned, not socializing with friends and family members is considered as an emotional destabilization factor.
Plus, specialists said it will be important for future health crises to carefully weigh decisions to close parks and outdoor areas.
“Parks and other natural outdoor spots should remain open during public health emergencies to encourage physical activity,” experts stated.
Taking exercise regularly is quite beneficial for body and mind, and it can reduce high blood pressure, help control weight, and lower the risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and various forms of cancer.
Physical activities also strengthen bones and muscles, increasing balance, flexibility, and fitness.
