During a special appearance on radio and television, the Cuban president recalled talks with lawyers, businessmen, women, journalists, sole traders, representatives of religious institutions, athletes, LGBTIQ+ community, in order to pay attention to their standpoints on Cuba’s issues and proposed solutions.
He assured that Cuba´s Communist Party and Government are working together on providing responses to these proposals, and that several suggestions are currently applicable.
In this regard, the Cuban president recalled the approval of 63 measures for improving agricultural production and marketing in Cuba, based on peasants´ opinions.
Similarly, Díaz-Canel emphasized that exchanging criteria with lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgenders, intersex, queers, and other identities, showed the need to address some issues from another viewpoints accompanied by social policies.
“Everything is being followed up and does not fall into a dead letter,” the president said in his message to the Cuban people in order to report on the country´s return to normalcy and on other significant domestic affairs.
