In his special appearance on radio and television, the Cuban president pointed out the significance of deepening the changes always based on needs and goals in direct talks with the Cuban people.
The head of state said that his work on communities must be established firmly in concepts including the exercise of popular power since Cubans must report on their concerns, problems, possible solutions and control the implementation of initiatives.
He recognized the efforts of community project leaders, and insisted on all economic actors´ involvement in these transformation processes.
Díaz-Canel assured that it is critical to roll out the works with sensitivity, as well as laid stress on the need for local governments´ autonomy.
In the same way, he argued for actions linked to territorial development strategies and to communities´ productive systems.
The Cuban government promotes programs to enhance its people´s quality of life, based on the proper use of planned resources.
