The foreign minister expressed gratitude for the active support of the vice president of the Eurochamber’s Friendship Group with Cuba, denouncing the current political-communication campaign led by the United States Government that threatens the stability and sovereignty of the island.

In his official Twitter account, the head of Cuban diplomacy described the meeting with the also member of the Communist Party of Spain as fraternal.

This week Pineda, on a working visit to the Caribbean nation, toured scientific institutions and had information on the functioning of the health system.

He also held an exchange with president of the National Assembly of People’s Power, Esteban Lazo, to whom he ratified his solidarity.

In addition, he spoke with representatives of Cuban youth organizations and denounced the subversion plans promoted from abroad, the misrepresentation of reality and the use of false news and images after the riots on July 11 in cities of the country.

Recently, the FM rejected Washington’s interference in the internal affairs of the country, in moments of national celebration after the control of the Covid-19 pandemic and the return to the new normal.

“The United States policy against Cuba is destined to fail. Wake up from that dream. It’s not going to happen. It has not worked, it does not work and it will never work,” stressed the head of diplomacy.
