Cuba’s capacity to reopen its borders highlighted in El Salvador

El Salvador, Cuba, solidaridad
San Salvador, Nov 12 (Prensa Latina) Cuba's capacity to reopen its borders was highlighted here today by Salvadoran political scientist Nayda Acevedo, who highlighted the island's fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The fact that Cuba is reopening its borders to international tourism as of November 15 calls us to recognize its scientific development,” Acevedo said on TVX’s Plataforma program.

The writer and researcher also stressed that Cuba was the only country in Latin America that developed its own vaccines against Covid-19, and that it put them at the service of its own people and of the global fight against the pandemic.

She stressed that vaccination in Cuba is a voluntary and responsible exercise to advance in the containment of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, with a visible success despite the economic blockade imposed by the United States six decades ago.

In this regard, she recalled that former U.S. President Donald Trump imposed more than 260 coercive measures that directly affect the Cuban population, which are maintained by the administration of Democrat Joe Biden.

She invited citizens to visit Cuba to learn first-hand about its reality and compare it with the narrative imposed by its enemies.
