On Twitter, Mr. Fernández referred to statements by the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs Emily Mendrala, in which she threatened Cuba with more measures if it prevents the counterrevolutionary march to be conducted, unauthorized and considered in Cuba as unlawful.
US State Department goes on showing its responsibility in the orchestrated provocation against #Cuba. Ms. Mendrala says they are “actively monitoring the situation” in our country, as if this were the State of Florida, which they do have the right to control … if they can, Fernández de Cossío tweeted.
Ms. Mendrala’s statement joins thirty other ones by US officials and politicians since Sept. 22, aimed at encouraging, guiding and instigating destabilizing actions in Cuba.
Condemning such an interference on November 10, Cuba´s Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez claimed the United States tries, among other purposes, to overshadow the rejoicing of the Cuban people at the opening of economic and social activity after monitoring and controlling the Covid-19 pandemic.
