In past 28 days, health authorities worldwide have confirmed 11,964,389 positive cases and 196,300 deaths, according to data posted on the university´s official website.
The United States accounts for about one out of every five Covid-19 cases, with nearly 46.5 million total cases reported, and over 754,000 deaths.
India, with 34.4 million total cases, accounts for another 14% of global cases, and Brazil makes up another 9% of the global total with 22.9 million cases.
Europe is once again the epicenter of the pandemic due to infection and deaths rebound during past month, which could lead the continent to face a fourth pandemic wave, the World Health Organization (WHO) warned last week .
