Biennial English for Development conference opens in Cuba

Havana, Nov 9 (Prensa Latina) The Biennial English for Development Conference, inaugurated today in Cuba and held virtually, will assess contemporary trends and approaches to teaching and learning that language at all educational levels.

At the opening, the general director of Undergraduates of the Ministry of Higher Education (MES), Reynaldo Velázquez, pointed out that the event has great significance, since it contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals, in particular those related to the achievement of training in quality.

In this regard, he specified that the conference is focused on the main areas for the training of professionals, by which it will contribute to the improvement of English learning in universities.

The event will take place until November 11 and is part of the collaboration between the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and the professional associations of teachers ofef/ the British Council in Cuba.
