Austria´s SPO condemns US blockade against Cuba

Vienna, Nov 9 (Prensa Latina) Austrian Social Democratic Party (SPO) and organizations in solidarity with Cuba have condemned the aggressive blockade the United States has imposed on Cuba, diplomatic sources reported.

During an event, attended by the Cuban Charge d’Affaires to Austria Marlén Redondo, the Austria-Cuba Friendship Association (OKG) President Michael Wogerer condemned US actions to cause chaos and instability in Cuba.

Ms. Redondo, on the other hand, discussed on Cuba´s situation and talked about the media manipulation campaign orchestrated by the United States, interference in internal affairs as well as the tightening of the economic, commercial and financial blockade amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ms. Redondo stressed that thanks to the vaccine development and mass immunization campaign, Cuba will reopen its borders on Monday and students will be able to return to schools.
