Egypt was an exceptional model worldwide last year, during the first wave of Covid-19, as it managed to raise its GDP by 3.6 percent, the AMF highlighted in its most recent report on the region’s economic outlook.
It highlighted that the resumption of international flights and the expansion of the vaccination will contribute to the recovery of the tourist sector, which is key to the national economy.
According to a report by Standard & Poor’s, Egypt’s Gross Domestic Product will grow 5.3 percent in fiscal year 2022-23 and a similar figure in the following year.
