A 150-refrigerator and 120-truck convoy carrying tanks left illegal Kherab Al-Jir air base in Hasakeh province for northern Iraq by taking Al-Walid crossing, according to activists.
The convoy was guarded by armored vehicles from the US troops and armed vehicles from Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
At least 12 army bases were established in Syria, most on oil and gas fields, mainly in Hasakeh province, while keeping an enclave in the Tanef area, on the border with Iraq, to block any land communication between the two countries.
