The new head of the State received the presidential identification and swore allegiance to the Uzbek people with his hand on the Constitution and the Koran, as reported by the press service of the Senate (Upper House of Parliament), where the ceremony was held.
Mirziyoyev was presented with the distinctive insignia of presidential power, the lapel and the banner, established since October this year.
The ceremony took place in the large conference room of the new Senate building, whose construction was completed on Friday, TASS news agency reported.
