According to recent estimates, nearly 23 million Afghans will have to face food crisis in November and the Q1 2022, Haq said.
Furthermore, Haq stressed, colleagues on the ground have said that isolated clashes and violence that have been affecting civilians continue this week.
Meanwhile, several UN agencies continue working on the ground, despite hard security and access conditions.
On Wednesday, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) started off a campaign to distribute wheat seeds and fertilizers for coming fall season.
It also planned technical training courses on best agricultural practices and hopes to help nearly 140,000 people in Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman and Nuristan provinces.
The UN humanitarian appeal for Afghanistan currently has only 54% funding, while UN requested the support of international donors to reach $606 million to aid about 11 millions of people.
