The heads of State and Government, or the senior officials designated by them, are also expected to coordinate actions to jointly address an epidemiological situation that has a profound impact on the member economies.
They are Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, China, South Korea, the United States, Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Chinese territories of Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Its 21 member economies account for 59 percent of global Gross Domestic Product and 48 percent of world trade.
