According to the Cuban embassy in the United Kingdom, García met the UK Foreign Minister for Europe and the Americas, Wendy Morton, to whom he also ratified Cuba’s willingness to address issues in which both countries have different points of view.
Before meeting with the representative of the British government, García participated in the World Travel Market, which brought gatether in London tour operators and travel agents from hundreds of countries after the restrictions imposed last year by the Covid-19 pandemic.
García made statements to Prensa Latina during the fair affirming that the Cuban market is ready to receive foreign visitors safely and with all the corresponding health protocols once the borders have reopened on November 15th.
“We have achieved some commitments and I believe that we will be able to count on the English market in these first months of opening,” he said.
