Video footage broadcast by state television shows the escape of a US warship in the Gulf of Oman to a reaction from IRGC ships.

The report notes that US forces stopped an Iranian oil tanker in the Sea of Oman, confiscated its cargo and diverted it to another US tanker bound for an undisclosed location.

In response, members of the Islamic Revolution Guard boarded the US oil tanker and moved it back to Iran’s territorial waters.

In a message on social media, Oil Minister Javad Oji thanked the IRGC for saving the Iranian tanker.
