Cuba reports 567 new Covid-19 cases and four deaths

Havana, Nov 3 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported 567 new SARS-CoV-2 positive cases, and four deaths from complications associated with the disease.

According to the report published on the website of the Ministry, 10,488 patients are hospitalized, of which 5,848 are suspect of having contracted the disease, 1,395 are under surveillance, 3,245 patients are sick, with 3,158 of them evolving stably, while 34 are is critical and 53 in serious condition.

696 patients were discharged in the last few hours, bringing the total of people recovered from Covid-19 in Cuba to 942,198, representing 98.8 percent of all the infected so far.

20,201 samples were analyzed on Tuesday, which puts the total amount at 10,579,169 tests carried out since 2020.

So far 953,750 people were diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 since March 11th, 2020, and 8,250 died as a result of the disease. The death rate in Cuba is estimated at 0.87 percent.

The provinces with the highest figures were Camagüey, (128 cases), followed by Sancti Spíritus (86) and Holguín (70).
