For three weeks, the event called BICeBé brought together a wide list of designers from Argentina, Chile, Spain, Poland, Germany, Brazil and the host country to give conferences and workshops through on-line platforms.
According to founder and coordinator, Susana Machicao, this year the contest merges plans for previous editions, whose development was affected by both political conflicts and Covid-19.
“We postponed the inauguration and paralyzed our projects, given that social and political upheaval was in full swing”, Machicao stated as she offered details about the activities to national media.
Concerning the international BICeBé contest, she clarified that “we were pleasantly surprised by the mass response. We thought the pandemic would limit the number of contestants, but received more than 11 thousand posters from more than 90 countries”.
As a novelty, the contest gives way to ‘Creative Talks’, open to all public through BICeBé account on Facebook, as well as the International Congress and digital ‘Meet and Greet’ meeting, which promotes the exchange of experiences on graphic art.
