In the context of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change COP26, held in Glasgow, Scotland, Arce pointed out that due to the responsibility of these countries in pollution they should also provide financing, transfer technology and training to developing countries, Bolivia TV reported.
The president also stood for respecting the cap on global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, as established in the 2015 Paris Agreement.
Arce included the proposal of incorporating an alternative market mechanism for financing to flow among developing countries.
He stated that climate change is actually a climate crisis for it is becoming uncontrollable as it impacts various sectors.
The Bolivian president met today with heads of state of Group ‘Ideas Alike’ of Developing Countries, with whom he ratified his commitment to implement actions to take care of Mother Earth.
