Egypt increases trade ties with G20

Cairo, Nov 1 (Prensa Latina) Trade between Egypt and G20 member countries reached billion in the first half of 2021, an increase of 19.4 percent year-on-year, an official source revealed today.

The national statistics agency (Capmas) specified in a statement that Egyptian exports exceeded nine billion dollars in that period, 39.2 percent increase.

Meanwhile, imports grew 14 percent to reach 27 billion dollars.

According to Capmas, Italy topped the list of the top 10 G20 importers with 1.1 billion dollars, followed by the United States, Saudi Arabia, India and Turkey.

The G20 is an international forum that brings together developed and emerging countries, which together account for two thirds of the world’s population and 85 percent of the planet’s Gross Domestic Product.
