According to the Russian security statement, the IS supporter lived in that locality and during the investigation it became known that he intended to commit terrorist acts against military in the region, following the instructions of foreign emissaries.
Intercepted while removing a home-made bomb from a hideout on the outskirts of the city, he opened fire at the law enforcement officers and was killed by return fire.
No civilians or law enforcement officers were injured during the incident, the Sputnik news agency with access to the report said.
At the scene of the incident and in the house of the follower of the Islamist movement were seized a ready-to-use bomb, parts for another one, bladed weapons, firearms and ammunition of different calibers, as well as means of communication for transmitting information.
