During a meeting with Finnish Minister of Foreign Affairs Pekka Haavisto, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Cuban Embassy advocated the promotion of political dialogue and economic cooperation and trade between the two States.

He acknowledged Finland’s denunciation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by Washington on Cuba for six decades.

The diplomat pointed out that US aggressions constitute the main obstacle to the development of the Cuban people, and expressed his gratitude for the international community’s support when voting against the blockade at the United Nations General Assembly.
