The state-run Korean Central News Agency (ACNC) reported that Kim sent a wreath to the graveyard where the martyrs of the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army rest, on the day of their participation in the Korean War.
The secretary general of the Workers’ Party of Korea thanked the Chinese government for offering its sincere revolutionary assistance, thus writing a page in the history of friendship between the two nations.
We will never forget the exploits and the blood shed by Chinese officers and soldiers in the trenches against the imperialists’ attack, he said.
According to estimates, some three million Chinese civilians and soldiers served in Korea as part of the Volunteer Army, between 1950 and 1953.
