Iraq’s Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi and Lebanon’s Najib Mikati held a dialogue on the issue during the latter’s lightning visit to Baghdad.
The two officials held two meetings in which they stressed the need to strengthen ties at all possible levels.
Mikati thanked the Iraqi Government, people and religious authorities for their support in the face of fuel shortage in Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Al-Kazemi stressed that Iraq will spare no effort to support the Lebanese citizens in the current difficult circumstances.
Earlier, Iraq and Lebanon signed an agreement whereby Baghdad and Beirut exchange oil and its derivatives for legal, medical and banking advice.
