According to Mujahid, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday met with Afghan Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Ghani Baradar and Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi in Doha, Qatar.
‘Three committees will be implemented: the first one aims to work on political and diplomatic relations, the second one focuses on creating relations and understanding between the two countries, and the third one on economic projects,’ Mujahid said.
According to the political office of radical Islamic fundamentalists in Doha, Baradar assured Beijing that Afghanistan will never be used against another country, and China in turn promised not to meddle in Afghanistan´s internal affairs.
Meanwhile, China’s Foreign Ministry said the talks will provide the opporunity for an in-depth exchange of viewpoints on Afghanistan´s situation and common concern issues.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said Beijing has always shown its willingness to negotiate and work for Afghanistan´s economic progress.
Since the Taliban’s rise to power in Kabul, Afghanistan has been facing up a humanitarian crisis and desperately needs international assistance.
