The Islamist grouping has published on social networks a statement in which it claims to have carried out the bomb attack on a bar in the capital frequented by soldiers whom it describes as members of the Ugandan ‘crusader army’.
At least five persons were wounded by the explosion whose perpetrators the president described as ‘parasitic pigs’ and assured that they will be captured.
The action was claimed by the Islamic State in Central Africa, a group that operates in the east of the neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo and in Mozambique, an affiliate of an entity of the same orientation that operates in Nigeria and has its headquarters in Lake Chad.
