The Foreign Ministry affirmed through a statement released by official media that this hostile act against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country is part of the constant aggressions and violation of international laws by the Zionist entity.

This attack comes after completing the reconciliations in the Deraa province and the consolidation of security and stability in it, in a desperate attempt to raise the morale of the terrorist agents of Israel, indicates the official note.

Syria warned that this aggression will only aggravate the tension in the region, and expressed this country’s determination and ability to respond to those attacks and curb the aggressive behavior of the occupier.

Local media reported that an Israeli helicopter fired two missiles from occupied Golan airspace at two positions in the town of Tel Kurum and the town of Al-Baath, in Quneitra province, 67 kilometers southwest of Damascus.

Israel perpetrated some 100 attacks against Syrian territory during 2020 and they already exceed 28 so far this year.

The Syrian Government condemned these actions and deplored the silence of the United Nations before them, as well as ratified the legitimate right to defend the integrity and sovereignty of the national territory by all legitimate means.

In addition, he denounced that these attacks are part of the direct support offered to terrorist groups, in particular Daesh or the Islamic State, in order to destabilize once again the areas that have already been liberated.
