In this regard, the Pope noted that many of those men, women and children are subjected to inhuman violence and reiterated a call to the international community to keep the promises to find common, concrete and long-term solutions to regulate migratory flows in Libya and throughout the Mediterranean.
After referring to the existence of real concentration camps in Libya, the Pope urged to put an end to the return of migrants to countries that are insecure and give priority to the saving of human lives at sea, with regular protocols of rescue and disembarking.
