The ISA orchestra, attached to the Mozart Lyceum of Havana, the institution organizing the event, will be directed by Maestro Jose Antonio Mendez and will have Austrian violinist Frank Stadler as a guest soloist. The concert is scheduled for 11:00 hours, local time, and, as the festival’s other performances, it will be broadcast on the Lyceum’s YouTube channel.
As in previous editions, the event’s program will include symphonic, chamber and choral groups, which go from classical music to contemporary compositions, including two premieres by Cuban violinist and composer Jenny Peña.
Organized by the Office of the City Historian with support of the Salzburg Mozarteum Foundation, the concerts of the festival, which will conclude on November 1, will be also broadcast on Cuban television’s Canal Clave.
