The mission, which began on October 17 and will end today, was aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as protecting the maritime economic activities of the two countries, the Ministry’s statement said.
The detachment was made up of ten ships, five from each country, including antisubmarine ships, destroyers and corvettes that covered more than 1,700 nautical miles, a route in which they performed various combat maneuvers.
Three days ago, the Russian and Chinese navies conducted joint drills in the Sea of Japan.
