According to the call, the Association of Cuban Residents in Brazil-José Martí (Ancreb-JM) also intends to pay tribute to Cuba´s National Culture Day (October 20) as well as to José Martí.
The Ancreb-JM also proposed ‘to continue strengthening ties of friendship and identity among Cubans living in Brazil, in order to learn and discuss more about issues of general interest, as well as to strengthen all missions of the association.’
The official text insisted that, even though the meeting ‘will be held virtually, it will be perfect to exchange work experiences from the last two years (2019-2020), which have been so difficult due to the tightening of the US blockade that also affects us, as well as the terrible Covid-19 pandemic that hits us too.’
‘We will continue united in condemning the genocidal US blockade that stifles Cuban economy. We remain on alert for new aggressions,’ the Ancreb-JM said in a public statement.
