‘The indicators are stable; we are in a sort of plateau,’ National Director of Epidemiology, Dr. Francisco Duran, said at his daily briefing broadcast on radio and television.
The risk persists; some people have not been vaccinated yet and others do not comply with the established measures to protect themselves from the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, Dr. Duran commented and informed that 1,476 new cases were detected in the past few hours.
There are 6,038 Covid-19 patients in the country; 5,866 are clinically stable and 172 people are being treated in intensive care units, 106 in a serious condition and 66 in a critical one.
Regarding children, 256 cases were detected in the past few hours, 15 of whom were less than one year old, 8 less than six months old and 4 were newborns.
Some 1,810 Covid-19 patients were medically discharged, so the number of recoveries amounts to 928,790.
Cuba has reported 943,038 Covid-19 cases since March 2020 to date.
Adding the 20 deaths reported in the past few hours, the death toll since the outbreak of the pandemic has soared to 8,153.
