Hosted at the ‘El Reino de este Mundo’ Gallery at the Jose Marti National Library, the exhibition shows recent works by the author, as well as other pieces from years before his death in 2020.
For the first time, the Cuban audience will have access to the artist’s literary work, with the collection of verses ‘El instante cernido’ (1953), ‘Estacion de la hierba’ (1957), ‘Destrucciones por el horizonte’ (1968), ‘Apuntes para una mitica de La Habana’ (1971), ‘Suma de ecos’ (1989), ‘Umbral’ (1997) and the personal anthology ‘Cifra’ (2003).
Also on the list is his work as a journalist and art critic, which gave way to the essays ‘Tiempo y poesia’ (1961) and the short stories ‘Vida secreta de la Giraldilla’ (2003).
The exhibition, organized with support of the National Council of Plastic Arts, was added to the launching of the website that shows materials about the life and work of De Oraa, who was a painter, poet, essayist, editor and journalist.
