Wednesday’s attack on a bus in Damascus aims to disrupt the stability of Syria and the entire region at the service of Israel and the countries that use terrorism as a political weapon to achieve their despicable interfering objectives, the Foreign Ministry denounced in a statement.
The document demanded a clear condemnation by the international community and the United Nations’ Secretary General of this criminal act and the adoption of dissuasive measures against the countries that support and finance this kind of extremist action.
Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister Ayman Susan noted that this attack demonstrates the desperation of the enemies due to the defeat of their conspiratorial plans.
On Wednesday, 14 people, including soldiers and civilians, were killed and three were wounded when two bombs exploded on a military bus in Damascus.
Since the capital’s peripheral areas were liberated from terrorism in the summer of 2018, Damascus has been experiencing a calm that was disturbed by attacks on military and civilian figures.
