The Cuban representative was received by director general of the Department of Multilateral Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country, Didar Temenov, with whom he reviewed the current status and prospects of bilateral ties.
According to the Cuban diplomat, the Kazakh official expressed his government’s rejection to Washington’s interventionist policy towards the Caribbean nation and the attempts to destabilize the country.
The Cuban ambassador thanked the authorities of the Central Asian country for their position in favor of the United Nations (UN) resolution on the need to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against the island.
He recalled that the document has been adopted on 29 consecutive occasions with the majority support of the member states of the UN General Assembly.
Temenov and Pevida highlighted the coincidence in points of view of their respective governments on various issues on the international agenda, the good moment of relations between the two countries, and called for continuing to strengthen multilateral cooperation.
