This was one of the eight decisions made at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, held on Thursday under the coordination of Belarus and published on the official website of the Kremlin.
After the public speeches of presidents, the meeting continued behind closed doors, and a declaration on the economic cooperation between EAEU member States within the framework of the global climate agenda, was approved.
Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted the development and detailing of the integration processes in the economic bloc despite hardships caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
He spoke about the the parties’ interest in the development of EAEU and highlighted the results reached, especially in the economy and trade.
Putin informed that his country is making great efforts to reduce the intensity of the presence of carbon in the economy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and develop green energy.
Heads of State and Government from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan participated in the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. Moldova, Uzbekistan and Cuba participated as observer countries.
