Elad’s statements were made at a new oral hearing following Netanyahu for having abused his power in the so-called Case 4000, in which former Walla website director Ilan Yeshua also testified.
Yeshua said that from 2014 to 2017, the politician illicitly benefited the business interests of Bezeq telecom’s controlling shareholder Shaul Elovitch.
In return, according to the testimony, Elovitch provided the then prime minister and his family members with positive coverage on that website, and even allowing him to dictate the editorial policy on a regular basis.
Elad on Tuesday confirmed the allegations at the Jerusalem District Court.
But the most serious situation occurred when the scandal for the purchase of German submarines broke out, the most serious corruption case in Israel’s history, in which several people linked to Netanyahu were involved in a bribery scheme, he stressed.
