After very hard months for Cuba and Argentina resulting from the Covid-19 situation, Cuba’s flagship airline will depart from Havana on November 20th and from Buenos Aires on the 22nd, thus resuming weekly operations.
The general manager of the airline, Irina Plana, said in statements to Prensa Latina that the weekly direct flight will mark the gradual resumption of operations.
The airline has been working for days with tour operators in order to secure the weekly influx of tourists.
‘We hope to reach once again the number of tourist passengers we transported to Cuba,’ Plana said, after recalling that during these almost two years of pandemic, the airline carried out several humanitarian flights to bring home some 900 Argentineans who were stranded in Cuba.
