She said that under the pretext of counteracting threats, which allegedly come from other countries but mainly from Russia, the idea of the need to increase IT arms in the cyberspace is being put in the mind of the members of NATO.
Zakharova underlined that Russia has always been against the militarization of the computer space and defends the use of technologies and communication with peaceful purposes.
The official said that such a decision is a priority for Russia, and recalled that on several occasions its authorities have proposed to hold bilateral consultations by experts on these issues.
Zakharova noted that in the face of such suggestions, London makes ‘such hostile, aggressive and simply unbalanced statements.’
However, she pointed out that Moscow offers to cooperate to ensure international information security.
