At a meeting between Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas and Congolese Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Technological Innovation, Edith Delphine Emmanuel née Adouki, the two parties discussed the existing historic relations of cooperation.
According to a press release from the Cuban Foreign Ministry, both officials said that these ties are based on deep roots and traditions that unite their peoples.
The Cuban deputy prime minister thanked the Congolese Government for its invariable support for the struggle for the lifting of the United States economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed for nearly six decades.
Edith Delphine Emmanuel née Adouki, who is paying a working visit to Havana, expressed gratitude for Cuba’s contribution to the education of thousands of Congolese students in different higher education sectors throughout all 57 years of diplomatic relations.
During her stay in this capital, the minister also met with Minister of Higher Education Jose Ramon Saborido and Minister of Public Health Jose Angel Portal.
