In a statement, Venezuela seconded Xi’s proposal to continue strengthening pivotal aspects for all countries´ development in the framework of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Xi highlighted the implementation of policies focused on peoples´ welfare, innovation and harmonious coexistence between human beings and nature, as well as actions in favor of food safety, poverty reduction, crack down on pandemic situation and climate change, among others.

In this regard, the Venezuelan Government thanked China for providing extra $3 billion in international assistance for developing countries, in addition to the goal of exceeding two billion doses of anti-Covid vaccines to be supplied to other nations before the end of the 2021.

Venezuela reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation based on comprehensive strategic partnership between both countries, with the purpose of generating shared benefits.
