The call was launched by the recent initiative ‘Juntos por Cuba’ (Together for Cuba), a YouTube channel with weekly broadcasts created to fight disinformation and oblivion, which identifies itself with the slogan ‘Patria o Muerte’ (Homeland or Death) and defends Cuban citizenship and the love among those living in and outside the Caribbean nation.
According to what the promoters of the virtual meeting told Prensa Latina, the actions to support Cuba from abroad will be addressed that day, among them the battle in social media and the campaigns to send donations, amid the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the tightening of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade.
The virtual forum convened by YouTube will welcome the Cuban culture week and pay tribute to men and women who have written pages of glory in the history of the Caribbean nation.
