Colonel Mamady Dumbuya, former special forces officer who was formed in France, was sworn in by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of this country, judge Mamadu Sylla. However he refused to pronounce any speech as he took office.
The military board created after the coup last September 5th has committed with the Community of West African States to drive the country back into institutionality, call for general elections, in which none of the members of the board is suppose to take part as a candidate.
The Community of West African States has disapproved the coup led by Colonel Dumbuya and they are making pressure to avoid the military pepetuate themselve in power. A delegation has been also sent to meet with the overthrown president.
