Mexico calls on Israel to extradite man involved in Ayotzinapa case

Mexico, Oct 1 (Prensa Latina) Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on Friday revealed a letter sent to the Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett to request the extradition of Tomas Zenon, who was involved in the abduction of the 43 Ayotzinapa students.

In his morning press conference in Morelos, Lopez Obrador asked Undersecretary of the Interior Alejandro Encina to read the letter since the addressee had already acknowledged receipt.

Lopez Obrador recalled that Zenon is very involved in the abduction of the Ayotzinapa students-teachers and was the one who elaborated the false thesis known as ‘the historical truth’ to distort the investigation and fabricate alleged culprits, from whom they extracted prefabricated confessions through brutal tortures.

After these facts were discovered, Zenon took refuge in Israel, where he had links with that country’s espionage agency. Now we want that government’s support, the president said, because we are dealing with a person who carried out acts of torture and serious human rights violations.

The letter explains in detail to the Prime Minister of Israel the case of the abduction of the 43 students from Iguala, Guerrero state, and their links with drug trafficking organizations.

About this abominable crime there is testimony and evidence of tortures ordered by Zenon -even some in his presence- against alleged suspects involved in the disappearance of the students-teachers, which generated more confusion and reduced the possibility of finding the 43 youths, or unveiling the fact.

There are videos that show Zenon dictating the ‘historical truth’ of the Ayotzinapa case to El Cepillo, leader of the Guerreros Unidos criminal group, with statements made two months earlier by other defendants in order to make the testimonies coincide.
