Carlos Álvarez, salesperson from the Delegation of the Ministry of Tourism here, announced that with the arrival tonight of an Air Transat company aircraft from Toronto, they will reestablish air links with Canada, with a frequency of two flights a week, Tuesday and Friday, during this month.

For the reactivation of services, hotel and other facilities got the Certification of Most Hygienic and Safe Tourism, guaranteeing compliance with strict sanitary protocols for the prevention, control and confrontation with Covid-19.

The specialist explained to Prensa Latina that in the first stage they will open the Brisas Guardalavaca and Playa Pesquero hotels, on Holguin coast, and the Caballeriza, from E Hoteles, in the city.

Precisely, in Guardalavaca tourist destination, internationally recognized for its fine white sand and the turquoise-green color of sea water, various repair and maintenance actions have been carried out aimed at increasing the comfort of accommodations and recreation facilities.

In this sense, good news is the decrease, in recent days, of positive cases for Covid-19 in the province, as well as the progress in mass vaccination of the local population, of which more than 223 thousand people from Holguin have been immunized with the Cuban vaccines.

Among plans for the next high tourism season, which runs from November to March, approximately, is to reestablish air connections with different and traditional markets to the destination, like Canada, Germany, Italy, Russia and Panama.

Holguín’ s tourist destination, about 700 kilometers east from Havana, is one of the most comprehensive in Cuba, as it promotes experiences in sun and beach modalities; nature, history, culture and health, among others of great acceptance among foreign and local tourists.
