Saavedra said that with the new contribution by Peruvian solidarity organizations, 183,000 syringes have been purchased and these contributions will continue for new shipments of similar products and other medical supplies.
She added that other organizations, in addition to the association of graduates in Cuba, most of them doctors such as Saavedra, are participating in the fund-raising campaign, which involves the National Coordinating Committee of Solidarity with Cuba, which brings together the bi-national Friendship Houses all over the country, and the ‘Raices Mambisas’ Association of Cuban Residents in Peru, she stated.
