The message recalled how, during years of struggle for the release of the Cuban patriots, Llort was an example of perseverance, courage and human dignity.
‘She was a standard bearer of our fight, who inspired the solidarity movement and mobilized it with her work,’ so she earned the admiration of all the people that championed her cause, it said.
The letter noted that the meetings between the Russian Committee for the Liberation of the Cuban Five with Magali Llort helped to enhance admiration for her and the willingness to support her struggle.
The letter of condolence was signed by the Russian Committee against the blockade against Cuba, the Venceremos social movement, the I.V. Khlebnikov Workers’ University, the Red TV creative project, the staff of the Europa for Cuba channel and the Trudovaya Tyumen daily.
