According to the agenda, Cuban Energy and Mines Minister Livan Arronte will speak in the meeting via videoconference.
Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel participated in different meetings in the context of the high-level segment of the General Assembly this year.
About energy use, the president defended the need to end the waste of natural resources and the irrational production and consumption patterns of capitalism, which have had devastating effects on the environment.
Diaz-Canel also called for a paradigm shift to root out an unequal and undemocratic international order that puts selfishness and the interests of a minority over the aspirations of millions of people.
The general debate, which will run until September 27, focuses on the Covid-19 pandemic and climate change as the main issues.
