‘Cubans and Puerto Ricans from Los Angeles area joined the global campaign against the US embargo (blockade) against Cuba and the practically unanimous decision by the United Nations to end it,’ the call on social networks said.
As explained in the press release, participants will gather at noon on September 26 at a busy intersection in the city, from where they will march in a caravan.
The text explained that the main goal is the end of the blockade that has aimed to strangle the Cuban people for almost six decades, and achieve the normalization of relations between the two countries. It is necessary to ‘end the Trump/Biden trade and travel bans and sanctions,’ it underlined.
A similar initiative will take place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where the Regional Committee of the ‘Venceremos’ ( We shall prevail) Brigade also asked to join a caravan in ‘revolutionary solidarity with the Cuban people’.
